Transponder keys contain a computer chip which transfers a low-level radio signal. This microchip has a unique digital serial number, which validates the original vehicle key and the duplicate key. We are also able to program a Transponder Chip without a duplicate available.
These radio signals activate the chip only when the key is near the dashboard or when it is inserted into the ignition. If this chip is damaged or lost, you may be locked out and/or unable to start your vehicle.
Programming or Reprogramming a Transponder Chip should be handled by a professional Locksmith or Car Dealer. Not interested in costly dealer repairs? You are in luck.
Lock Around the Clock have the ability to provide this Mobile Locksmith Service in an emergency and/or in combination with our other Services to get you back on the road for most vehicle makes and models.
